Thode resigned as President of Parliament

WILLEMSTAD – Amerigo Thode has resigned as President of Parliament. In a letter to the members of parliament, Thode writes that he was elected President, it was as part of the new government between Pueblo Soberano (PS), MAN and MFK. Now that it is not the case, he will make room for the other parties forming a new government for Curacao to elect their candidate as President of Parliament.

It seems that the transitional Government will be sworn in soon. This is an agreement between PS, PAIS, PNP and independent member of Parliament Glenn Sulvaran. MKF is not part of that team.

It has been announced that Mike Franco will be elected as the new President of Parliament. “if the election of the new president goes as it should then the coalition parties will elect me.” Franco declared.
