Trade union bus drivers do not agree with insurance premium

busesWILLEMSTAD - The trade union of small bus drivers is opposed to the increase in the car insurance premium. Last weekend it was announced that this premium will go up 13 percent. The increase should have gone into effect on September 29, but most insurance companies chose to do this starting January 1 of next year.

According to the drivers, the premium is based on the purchase price of the bus, while the insurance pays out the market value in case of an accident.

The trade union wants the government to intervene, otherwise, they will take actions. The unions did not specify what kind of action.
