Van Raak: “No more guarantees for impact maladministration’

Ronald van RaakWILLEMSTAD – Dutch Member of Parliament for SP, Ronald van Raak says that the Netherlands should no longer stand as guarantee for the “maladministration” on Curacao and Sint Maarten.

The parliamentarian cites in his commentary, Minister Roland Duncan and parliamentarian Patrick Illidge both of St. Martin, who are associated with illegal prostitution at the brothel Bada Bing. "They are probably paid by Francesco Corallo, who is connected with the Sicilian Mafia and has a casino empire in Sint Maarten for money laundering purposes," writes Van Raak.

"Corallo is a financier of politicians in Curacao, including former Prime Minister Gerrit Schotte, under whose responsibility, not only the treasury of the island was plundered, but also the Secret Service,” according to Van Raak. Therefore all kinds of secret information about drugs, weapons and human traffickers may come into the wrong hands, according to Van Raak. He has no confidence in a new political government after two transitional governments. Then the thunder begins all over again, says the SP-politician. The main victims are not the people in the Netherlands, but the people on the islands themselves.
