Van Raak: ‘Rutte must order an investigation into nepotism at Curacao House’
THE HAGUE, WILLEMSTAD – The Dutch Member of Parliament for the Socialist Party, Ronald van Raak, wants the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, to investigate the Minister Plenipotentiary of Curacao, Marvelyne Wiels. Earlier Mr. Van Raak asked questions to the Prime Minister and the Minister of Kingdom Relations on the alleged favoritism of Wiels at the Curacao House in The Hague.
Van Raak also asked questions about Mrs. Wiels’ resume. According to the MP, her resume is not based on the truth.
Van Raak wonders whether the Minister Plenipotentiary can still be trusted as a member of the Kingdom Council of Ministers.
The Kingdom Council of Ministers consists of the Council of Ministers of the Netherlands and the Ministers Plenipotentiary of Curacao, Sint Maarten and Aruba. The Prime Minister of the Netherlands is the chairman of the Kingdom Council of Ministers.
