Whiteman and Refinery signs agreement letter recovery Kenepa

WhitemanIslaWILLEMSTAD - Minister of Health, Nature and Environment Ben Whiteman has recently signed an agreement letter for the recovery of Playa Kenepa (Knip beach). The government and Isla will work together to restore this beach. Indeed, the earlier Beach Improvement Program (BIP) received no more funds from the USONA Foundation.

“Playa Kenepa is one of our natural beaches that can be used to attract tourists. For groteknipvarious reasons, the beach is not maintained, with the result that the area and the facilities are deteriorating,” Whiteman said.

After the work, which is expected to last six weeks, the ongoing maintenance is the responsibility of the Isla refinery for a period of four months. “In this way, both locals and tourists enjoy the new beach.”
