Wiels was not convincing at all

Marvelyne WielsWILLEMSTAD - Minister Plenipotentiary, Marvelyne Wiels did not come up with evidence to refute the alleged irregularities with her education, training and resume. However, she denied all the allegations against her done by reporters in the press and social media.

According to Wiels there is a group of journalists who are trying to smear her name. She linked the death of her brother Helmin Wiels to this group of reporters. "They killed my brother and now they are trying to kill me professionally and politically,” according to Mrs. Wiels.

The Minister Plenipotentiary had some documents with her to show that she has a successful career behind her, before she took office in The Hague. But when explicitly asked by a journalist to see the documents, Prime Minister Ivar Asjes intervened and it was not possible to see the certificates and diplomas as requested.

According to Wiels the deliberate infliction of her reputation is good for six months imprisonment. “And that punishment,” she said, “must be served, not in the Netherlands, but here in Koraal Specht (Curacao Detention and Correction Center).”
