President Chávez in a worrisome state

LA HAVANA – Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez is in a “complex” and difficult recovery state after his cancer surgery in Cuba. The was declared by the Vice President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro on Wednesday.

He called the people of Venezuela to pray for the 58-year-old president. According to Maduro it was a 6 hour surgery on Tuesday,  “complicated, difficult and delicate” , which according to him it indicates that his recovery will be the same.

Maduro said that the president has said that the country “must be prepared for a hard and difficult situation,” without further elaborating on the issue.

It is not yet clear when the socialist president returns to Venezuela. Chavez underwent, since the first diagnosis in 2011, four operations in Cuba. This year he won the presidential elections in Venezuela.
