Royal Military Police arrests aircraft thieves

KRALENDIJK – The Royal Military Police arrested two men on Bonaire on suspicion of theft. The charter plane which flew the suspects turns out to be stolen in the Bahamas. The Trooper could identify the suspects on the basis of information received.

Tuesday morning, a plane was stolen in the Bahamas. The authorities in the Bahamas sound out an international call to neighboring countries to look for the aircraft.

The plane was recognized by a military in Bonaire Flamingo International Airport, where the 29 - and 32-year-old suspects were be detained. The Royal Military Police will continue investigating the suspects, under guidance of the Prosecution Bonaire.
