Amsterdam welcomes Caribbean students

StudentsAMSTERDAM - For the ninth time in a row, the city of Amsterdam is organizing a special reception for students from Aruba, Curaçao, Bonaire, Sint Maarten, Saba and Sint Eustatius. Dozens of students will be welcomed in the city hall on Thursday 23 August by the deputy mayor.

At the same time, the Dutch government announces that it is halving the tuition for prospective students.

The Netherlands is mainly looking for teachers. Also from the Caribbean islands. Students at a teacher training program, therefore, receive an extra year discount on tuition fees. Moreover, the same thing happens when they start their master in 2020.

Does a student meet the conditions for halving the tuition fees? Then the tuition fee for him or her in the academic year 2018-2019 is € 1,030 instead of € 2,060.
