Boca Sint Joris 7000 kilo of waste lighter

WILLEMSTAD - Environmental and recycling company Green Force and Coca-Cola have rolled up their sleeves and cleaned up the waste at Boca St. Joris. Plastic bottles and waste, slippers and even a discarded exercise equipment marred the beach of Sint Joris for years.

40 employees of Coca-Cola and other volunteers have disposed as much as 7,000 pounds of waste so that the valley can be completely clean again.

The waves and wind at the natural place ensure that much plastic is deposit there. Plastic bottles can remain 450 years without decomposing. Both companies ask anyone to neatly deposit waste into bins to prevent these to end up in the ocean. For more information about recycling of aluminum cans and plastic bottles can be found on the website of Green Force.
