Brazilian ship Cisne Branco back in Curaçao

Cisne BrancoWILLEMSTAD - Coming Sunday, the Brazilian training ship Cisne Branco, which was part of the fleet of tall ships that were on Curaçao during the successful Velas Latinoaméricano 2018 two months ago, is back on the island. Again there is an opportunity for the public to visit the ship for certain hours on the indicated days.

This visit of the so-called tall ship was not planned. However, the weather and sea conditions related to hurricane Isaac in the Caribbean have meant that they were looking for a safe haven to let the threat go by. In addition, given the good findings during the recent visit to Curaçao, the decision was quickly taken to return here. Sunday morning the Cisne Branco (= White Swan) sails into Sint Anna Bay and moors at the Mattheywerf in Otrobanda.

Just like two months ago, there is an opportunity for groups and individuals to visit the ship for further information and explanation. The visiting hours are:

Sunday, September 16 - from 13:00 to 18:00

Monday 17 September - from 14:00 to 18:00

Tuesday 18 September - from 14:00 to 18:00

Wednesday 19 September - from 14:00 to 18:00

For schools and other youth groups, the ship can also be visited in the morning between certain hours, from 10 am to 12 noon on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. In order to manage this correctly, it is advisable to submit a request via app to the telephone number 560-4542. The visits on board are completely free.

From Curaçao, the Cisne Branco continues its route to the home port of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
