Council of Children visits Curaçao International Airport

IMG_1002WILLEMSTAD - Last Wednesday and Thursday Curaçao International Airport welcomed the youngsters of the Council of Children that were on a visit due to their ‘Tourism’ project. The Council of Children is an initiative of travel company TUI, and is derived from a Dutch concept created by Princess Laurentien van Oranje and UNICEF Nederland, with as objective; to create IMG_0901more dialogue between the youth of Curaçao and representatives of the different sectors, in order to connect youth more directly with tourism.

The youngsters arrived at the airport serving as a press team and interviewed CAP employees and various members of the airport community. While enjoying a tour around the airport; a visit to the CAP Fire department where they wore fire men's clothing and imitated fire extinguishing; and also by means of a image1visit to the VIP room where they were introduced to members of the CAP Management that gave them a special gift; the children got to know the touristic and safety aspects of the airport in a fun and educational way.
