Curacao Footprint Foundation spots Makamba in Boka Sami

makambasWILLEMSTAD - The Curacao Footprint Foundation reports that they have spotted nesting stilts or makamba's in the nature area of Boka Sami.

In the Rif area at Mundu Nobo mating royal terns have been observed. And there are also terns seen on the little islands in the salt pans of Jan Thiel.

The organization urges dog owners to keep their pets on a leash during the breeding season of seabirds and preferably avoid those areas.
