Different Types of Lipsticks

035 (2)Nowadays there are so many options to color your lips with. Lipsticks includes words such as Sheer, Glossy, Satin and Matte Lipstick.

But what does it actually mean?

Sheer and Satin

These lipsticks leave your lips shiny, glossy and moisturized. Satin and sheer lipsticks have a high oil component; its color appears darker in their tube than on the lips.

Note: Frequent touch ups are required.

Matte

A lot of pigment is in these lipsticks. Matte lipsticks usually outlast shiny lipsticks.

Note: lips can look thinner

Shimmer

Shimmer lipsticks contain light-reflecting particles; they’re also knows as pearly or frost.

Note: good option for evening occasions

Gloss

Are a good option for thin and small lips, as these enhance the dimension of depth.

Note: can be worn alone or on top of another lipstick

Lip Stain

These provide a natural look and are long lasting. A perfect option for a quick and easy application, for people on-the-go.

Note: it creates dryness

Long-wearing

The issue of constant re-applying lipstick is nonexistent with this type. The most long-lasting lipsticks consist of a base and a gloss, in one. The base may contain silicone oil, which seals in its color. Once it dries, you apply the colorless gloss for the shine. The gloss may be reapplied but the colored base stays put until you remove it, usually with a makeup remover.

Note: Some long-wearing lipsticks are very drying
