Eleven organizations receive donations from the Britannic Club Curaçao
WILLEMSTAD - During their New Year meeting, the Britannic Club Curaçao placed eleven local organizations in the spotlight. These organizations are:
- Siloam Children's Hospice
- Stichting Kinderoorden Brakkeput
- Stichting Shimaruku
- Stichting FELIS
- Arco Cavent Hospice
- Stichting CARF
- Stichting Dierenhulp
- Stichting Dierenbescherming
- Equine Foundation
- Dolphin Academy (Bayena i Dolfijn)
The Club has donated most of the proceeds of their Pub Quiz 2016, a total of 20.000 guilders, to those organizations. This is the fifteenth time that the Club organizes a fundraising activity for local charity organizations.
The Britannic Club Curacao was established in 1951. The club was initially for the wives of British ex-patriots living and working in Curacao. Over the years, the club has expanded to include members from all countries of the Commonwealth as well as Great Britain and Ireland. Members meet every month to swap news and chat with others and to raise funds for local Curaçao charities.
