Kluivert says farewell to Curaçao with major score
WILLEMSTAD - Patrick Kluivert said goodbye to the Curaçao soccer team last Tuesday night with a major victory. Willemstad won with the score 7-0 against the U.S. Virgin Islands. At halftime it was already 4-0
Kluivert will start the new season in Amsterdam, where he will be coaching the oldest youth of the Ajax team.
Last week Wednesday Curaçao won against Guyana, also with large numbers: 5-2. Big man then was Felitsciano Zschusschen (FC Oss) with three goals. Gino van Kessel (AS Trenčín from Slovakia) scored two. Last night the roles were exactly reversed. Leandro Bacuna (Aston Villa) and Gevaro Nepomuceno (CS Marítimo, Madeira) also scored one goal each.
Curaçao is now the group winner because of these victories in the qualifying round of the Caribbean Cup. The next game for the team will be on October 6. The opponent is not yet known. On October 9, Curaçao will play at home against Puerto Rico. Who will be Curaçao’s coach is not yet known.
