Osteria Rosso: A little Italy in Curacao
WILLEMSTAD – To enjoy real Italian cuisine in Curacao, there is only one place to be; Osteria Rosso. This Italian restaurant opened its doors on November 28, 2013. It is
located at the Troepial Inn Hotel.
According to the Italian Consul, Katrhyn Prunetti, who officially inaugurated the restaurant, the Italian cuisine is largely based on plant products such as bread, fruit, oil and wine. These products are in balance with the proper consumption of fish and cheeses. Italians eat meat and sweets but to a lesser extent.
Although many dishes have remained unchanged over the course of history skilled hands have often transformed leftovers into succulent recipes, symbols of an entire population. An example is the pappa al pomodoro which is on the menu at Osteria Rosso.
We invite you to taste the simple and refined dishes prepared by the hands of experienced chefs who are masters in the Italian culinary tradition. At Osteria Rosso, Italian products are used and modern dietary needs are taken into account in all dishes made.
