Prime Minister Daniel Hodge visits oldest person in Curacao

WILLEMSTAD – The Prime Minister of Curacao, Daniel Hodge, took some time to visit the oldest centenarian of Curacao and in the Kingdom. According to the Prime Minister, it was an honor to meet and talk with Mrs. Maria Samson Leer. He noted that Maria is an example to all the people of Curacao. She has lived a healthy life.

On her birthday Mrs. Maria received from the Department of Social Security a brand new wheel chair as a present. Mrs. Geselle Rosaria Coffie of the Foundation for our Elderly was also present. She noted that Curacao is rich now thanks to people like Maria Samson Leer who is the oldest person in Curacao, former Antilles and the entire Kingdom.

Mrs. Maria Samson Leer turned 107 on February 1, 2013.
