Scuba Lodge donates $2395 to GreenKidz and CARF

Scubalodge1WILLEMSTAD - Recently Scuba Lodge & Ocean Suites in Pietermaai made yet another donation to local foundations Curaçao Animal Rights Foundation (CARF) and GreenKidz. Scuba Lodge staff members Gea de Bruijne and Eugennia Pardo handed out two cheques with a total worth of $2395 to Sylvia Minten (CARF) and Ella Rosa (GreenKidz).

On January 1st, Scuba Lodge launched its Dollar-a-Night program, allowing guests to donate a dollar per night during their stay to a local charity. Although Scuba Lodge has selected two charities to choose from, each guest will have the final say as to where they would like the donations from their stay to go to. At the end of each quarter, donations are sent to CARF and GreenKidz. In early April, Scuba Lodge already donated a total of $2417 to the same two foundations.
"Our employees are very involved in the local community. That's why we decided to launch our Dollar-A-Night program," says Christina Sieperda, General Manager at Scuba Lodge & Ocean Suites. "Both GreenKidz and CARF are committed to make our island a better place for residents, tourists, and animals. Our hotel guests come from all around the world and despite the fact that they are very positive about Curaçao in general, the litter and the island's street dog problem can put a negative spin on their visit. We are proud to support local foundations that put in effort to make the island a greener, better, and more animal-friendly place."
