Special conference in Israel for Catholics and Jews
WILLEMSTAD - Rabbi Daniel Kripper from Aruba and Hazzan Avery Tracht, the Spiritual Leader of Mikvé Israel-Emanuel, better known as the SNOA on Curaçao, have both been invited by the Catholic Church to a special gathering of cardinals, bishops and rabbis from around the world to foster relations between Catholics and Jews worldwide.
It is the second time they are having such a gathering. The last time was in 2015 when it was reported that they had 38 bishops, 10 cardinals and 120 rabbis at this most impressive facility near the Israeli city of Tiberias. Hazzan Tracht spoke about it with Monseigneur Secco, the bishop of Willemstad, and was told that he was the one who recommended Hazzan Tracht.
The conference will take place from May 1-5 at their facility called Domus Galilaeae international Center on the Mount of Beautitudes near Tiberias, Israel. To read about the facility you can go to: www.domusgalilaeae.org/index.php/en/
