Stella Cooper exhibits her work at The Ritz Hotel Scharloo

Cur 1WILLEMSTAD - Stella Cooper was born in Curacao ('49) but moved at the age of 4 to the Netherlands. From childhood she was busy painting in many forms.

In 1988 she immigrated to Canada where she still lives. At age 7, she received a paint box for her birthday and it opened up a new world for her.

Stella paints in pastel, acrylic and watercolor, and she has a passion for horses. She calls her work “in precision executed snapshots”

Stella has traveled widely, taught painting in Jakarta and worked in Parrot sCanada closely with the renowned pastel artist Cathy Carter.

Back in her homeland Curaçao Stella is inspired by the local color of the island and Caribbean influences. This resulted in a beautiful mixed exhibition of Stella's snapshots complemented with colorful Curaçao influences.

The exhibition is from February 26 till March 6.
