The Prime Minister of Curaçao received the first medal of the 5th edition of the KLM Curaçao Marathon

The 5th edition of the KLM Curaçao Marathon will take place on Sunday, November 25th. Kees van Muiswinkel, Chairman of the Foundation Run in the Sun, organizer of the KLM Curaçao Marathon, handed over to Minister-President Eugene Rhuggenaath on Wednesday afternoon in Fort Amsterdam the first KLM Curaçao Marathon Medal as thanks for the support of the country Curaçao also on behalf of the participants, sponsors, partners and volunteers of the KLM Curaçao Marathon.

This special jubilee edition Medal, gold-colored design including year, Julianabrug and tropical elements with two-sided printed ribbon (one side the national flag, the other side the main sponsors) is for every participant at the Finish on Sunday November 25th.

"As an organization, we strive to ensure that the event is supported both locally and internationally. The organization expects 2,500 participants from 33 countries during this edition. 2/3 comes from Curaçao 1/3 comes to the island especially for the KLM Curacao Marathon. They come not only for this Runcation but also with friends and family. Hilton Hotel Curaçao is the start and finish this year.

With 5 distances, for everyone a distance: Whole Marathon, Half Marathon, 10 and 5 KM Walk & Run, and Trail distance 9.7KM. There is a suitable distance for everyone. This means that everyone can join.

Register and take the T-shirt and receive a start number directly, online via the website or at registration events starting this weekend at supermarket Van den Tweel.

Participants receive a starting permit with online time registration, a free event T-shirt and each participant receives the unique medal.

Every participant from Curaçao has a chance with his or her unique starting number on 2 KLM return tickets Curaçao-Amsterdam.

After the award ceremony, there will be a tombola by KLM Curacao, where participants from Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao are eligible for 2 return airline tickets to Amsterdam.
