CTEX receives ISO 9001:2008 quality certification

Mr. Anthony de Lima CEO CtexWILLEMSTAD - Curaçao Technology Exchange (CTEX), N.V., which in July became the world’s newest and most advanced Uptime Institute certified Tier-IV datacenter, also received its ISO 9001:2008 certification. CTEX was certified by the BSI group as operating a quality management system which complies with ISO 9001:2008 standard for Cloud Services, datacenter, managed hosting, and IT services for regional and international markets. The ISO 9001:2008 certification has been in place for over a decade and is recognized by corporations around the world as a method for  controlling quality. The standard provides a framework to effectively and efficiently manage the business and ensure a philosophy of continual improvement.

The ISO 9001:2008 framework is based on eight quality management principles that help improve organizational performance which include; (i) Customer focus, ensure processes are focused around the fulfillment of market needs, (ii) Leadership: a structure and competency is in place to ensure the unity of purpose and direction, (iii) Involvement of people: assurance that people become fully involved in achieving the organization's objectives, (iv) Process approach: resources and activities are managed as processes, with an understanding of how the outputs of one process affects the inputs of another, (v) System approach to management: a systemized approach to work activities is in place, (vi) Continual improvement: a culture exists to continuously improve all aspects of the company, (vii) Fact based decision-making: effective decisions are based on the logical and intuitive analysis of data and factual information and (viii) Mutually beneficial supplier relationships are in place.
