City beach City Beach 88 officially opened

Beach 88WILLEMSTAD - Swim and sunbathe in Pietermaai, while enjoying a freshly baked pizza or refreshing drink. Christina Sieperda of 2B Holidays has turned the previously derelict site in Pietermaai into a temporary city beach. The city beach, which was named City Beach 88, was officially opened on Friday with a free live performance of the Curaçao act Vibenation feat. Junior Tecla.

Between 5 pm and 10 pm, guests were warmly welcomed by the enthusiastic staff of City Beach 88 and DJ Brown on behalf of HITradio 915. The opening was well attended by both the local population as well as tourists and interns.

"Over the past few months, we have worked very hard with the whole team to get everything done and I am very proud that we can now open this beautiful city beach," says Sieperda. "We have created a warm and cozy atmosphere in a short period of time and people quickly found us through word of mouth." The official opening was delayed is due to the fact that we were still busy with installing our pizza oven. City Beach 88 is now officially opened and is a cozy meeting place in the heart of Pietermaai, where everyone is welcome," says Sieperda.

"I am rightly proud of our island and enjoy showing others the beauty of it." With the arrival of City Beach 88, the wasteland in Pietermaai has been given a new destination and Pietermaai has become something more attractive again," said musician Junior Tecla. "I believe in the connecting role of music, it can break down barriers and bring people from different backgrounds together and during our performance I have enjoyed seeing people of different nationalities, ages and cultures together."

City Beach 88 is open seven days a week from 10.00 in the morning until 10.00 in the evening. Every Thursday there is a two-hour happy hour between 17: 00-19: 00. In addition to the beach beds, there are picnic tables and bar chairs on the city beach and a lounge corner has been created.
