Cruise executives and industry professionals focus on maximizing cruise tourism business at FCCA Cruise Conference & Trade Show’s Workshops

FCCAPEMBROKE PINES -Topics and panelists have been announced for workshops during the 2015 FCCA Cruise Conference and Trade Show, taking place in Cozumel, Mexico from October 5-9. Led by panels of cruise executives and knowledgeable industry professionals, workshops will focus on helping attendees maximize their cruise tourism business, along with learning about the industry's current events and route for the future from cruise line presidents and CEOs.

"This is a valuable opportunity for regional destinations and operators to learn how they are being affected by and can take advantage of the industry's latest developments," said Adam Goldstein, president and COO of Royal Caribbean Cruises Limited (RCCL).

The CEO Roundtable will provide insight into the latest and upcoming trends, with participants from the large assortment of presidents, chairmen, COOs and CEOs attending the FCCA Cruise Conference & Trade Show, including Micky Arison, chairman, Carnival Corporation & plc and the FCCA; Michael Bayley, president and CEO, Royal Caribbean International; Christine Duffy, president, Carnival Cruise Line; Adam Goldstein; Karl Holz, president, Disney Cruise Line; Jason Montague; president and COO, Prestige Cruise Holdings; Frank J. Del Rio, president and CEO, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Limited (NCLH); Rick Sasso, president and CEO, MSC Cruises (USA) Inc.; and Andy Stuart, president and COO, Norwegian Cruise Line.

"Shore Excursion Overview-Key to Your Success" will discuss the steps of creating and evolving a successful tour product, along with maintaining that success. Moderated by Amilcar Cascais, vice president, tour operations, Carnival Cruise Line, it will include speakers such as Christine Manjencic, vice president, destination services operations, NCLH; Albino Di Lorenzo, vice president, cruise operations, MSC Cruises (USA) Inc.; Erika Tache, director, product development, Carnival Cruise Line; and Beth Kelly Hatt, president, Aquila Center for Cruise Excellence.

Mexican government officials and cruise executives will help attendees apply the lessons, experiences and insight from Mexico's rise, fall and resurrection as a cruise destination during "Overcoming Challenges - Learn from Mexico." Moderated by Michele Paige, president, FCCA, it will feature panelists including Claudia Ruiz Massieu Salina, secretary of tourism, Mexico; Roberto Borge, governor of Quintana Roo, Mexico; Mario Lopez Valdez, governor of Sinaloa, Mexico; and Freddy Marrufo, mayor of Cozumel, Mexico.

"Tour Operator Insurance Program" will introduce the joint program between the FCCA and AON Risk Solutions to offer tour operators insurance approved and supported by the cruise industry. It will also highlight updates and provide an overview on claims and risk management procedures.

The workshops are just one way that the FCCA Cruise Conference & Trade Show will help attendees learn about the cruise industry and how to maximize its impact. The event, the biggest cruise conference and trade show in the Caribbean and Latin America, will gather around 1,000 cruise industry stakeholders and 100 FCCA Member Line executives for a five-day agenda chock-full of business sessions and networking opportunities, including preset one-on-one meetings, social functions, a trade show and, of course, workshops.
