CTB introduces certification program for the hospitality and tourism sector
WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) introduces a certification program dedicated to the hospitality and tourism sector. The main objective of this program is to encourage and maintain quality service at all the companies operating in the local hospitality and tourism industry.
As part of the certification program, companies will receive an audit based on the quality standards known on the local -as well as on the international market. Curaçao Innovation & Technology Institute (CITI) will be executing this certification program. For now, we will start with the holiday apartments (apartments rented to tourists) and restaurants audit program. Afterwards, we will carry out the audit in other sectors within the tourism industry such as tour bus, dive shops, taxis and car rentals.
After successfully passing the audit, the company will be certified and added to CTB’s marketing program. The quality check will be done every two years by CITI. In the upcoming weeks CTB will approach several companies to encourage their participation in this certification program.
To properly implement this certification program, CTB prepared a special page on their website including all the necessary information about this program. The participating company can fill in their application form online; afterwards they will receive a login information and password so they can access the site and upload any relevant information of their business as well to see the status of their certification.
