CTB is hoping for a good end

airberlinWILLEMSTAD - There is hope that Air Berlin will continue to operate the Dusseldorf-Curaçao route until April 2018. The Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) conducted positive discussions with the representatives of the airline.

Interim Director of CTB Hugo Clarinda says that next week, it will be decided whether the airline will continue operating the flights from Germany until April next year. The CTB Director does not want to name names from the other potential airlines that are currently negotiating to take over the route, as long as he is in consultation with AirBelin.

The contract with Air Berlin will end in October this year. But the decision to stop the flights immediately came as a surprise. The CTB assumed that the airline would at least operate during the high season, until April 2018.
