CTB: Request for development of Tourism Master Plan for the island of Curacao 2015-2020

WillemstadWILLEMSTAD – The Curacao Tourist Board is the operating entity of the Curacao Tourism Development Foundation, which is fully funded by the Government of Curacao through its Department of Economic Development (MEO) and is charged with the task of developing a sustainable tourism product as well as marketing the destination.

The services of a consultant are required to develop and present a Strategic Tourism Master Plan, which will guide the sustainable development of the island’s tourism industry over the medium term.

The primary focus of the plan will be: A Sustainable Tourism Development for the island of Curacao.

The plan should include, but not limited to, the 7 areas of attention covered in previous strategic master plans. The 7 areas of attention are:

  • Product Development
  • Market Development
  • Airlift Development
  • Cruise Tourism Development
  • Human Resource Development & Community Awareness
  • Institutional Framework
  • Sustainable Tourism Funding

Deliverables

The main deliverable consists of the development of a strategic tourism master plan for the period of 2015 – 2020, supported by a majority of stakeholders and the community in general.

A pre-selection will be part of the process. Interested parties are requested to submit the following information no later than April 14, 2014.

  • Letter of interest to mmambi@curacao.com with the reference: Tourism Master Plan 2015-2020
  • The company’s background
  • Relevant experience in tourism and or similar projects
  • The company’s scope of activities
  • At least 2 (two) references
  • Registration Chamber of Commerce or Business License
