CTB wants to bring JetBlue to Curacao

JetblueWILLEMSTAD – Curacao wants to bring the American aviation company JetBlue to the island. The New York-based carrier has been approached by the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) during a flying visit last week in the United States. According to the tourism office JetBlue has already expressed interest in the past, but the company wanted a seat guarantee of one million dollars.

In this way, the risk of empty seats will be with Curacao and not with the airline. The CTB did not want to say if the same requirements are still on the table now. It is clear that the number of tourists from America has been on the decrease this year.

At this time American Airlines flies twice daily and InselAir once a day to Miami. Insel also flies every Saturday to Charlotte.
