Curacao Tourist Board wins SABRE Award Campaign with #mijncuracao
WILLEMSTAD- For the first time Curaçao Tourist Board in Europe has won a prestigious SABRE Award. This important PR prize was awarded for the #mijncuracao campaign. The campaign received a SABRE Award in the category of bloggers outreach. The award ceremony took place on May 19 in London.
As part of a larger strategic plan, the hidden gems of the island were revealed and shared with the world. A collaboration with "Curaçao reporter 'and travel blogger Lisette van Beek of Travellust.nl became the key point in the strategy. She composed a day to day report on the trip based on information obtained and showed those interested to visit the island how they can also experience the island. Through social media the island connoisseurs, fans and locals were urged to reveal their most special places, memories and tips via #mijncuracao. In total there were almost 350 holiday tips, ranging from cultural and sports outings, to undiscovered beaches and 'must-do' night activities; 100% positive and all excited. The goal was to creatively inspire potential travelers to choose Curaçao as their next holiday destination.
