Decrease in occupancy rate in July

hotelsWILLEMSTAD – The occupancy rate of hotels has decreased by 11.3 percent in July this year compared to July 2012. This is according to a report from the Curacao Hospitality & Tourism Association (CHATA). The occupancy rate was 73.8 percent last year, this year that figure fell to 62.5.

The rate of a hotel room increased from 140.98 to 142.60 dollars. Revenue per room fell from 104.08 to  89.17 dollars. These numbers are subject to change because not all hotels have handed in their figures. For more statistics and comparisons visit their website
