Falling hotel prices

Hotel-Kura-Hulanda-Curacao-300x200WILLEMSTAD - The hotel prices in Curaçao were significantly lower in the year 2013 compared to 2012. This is according to the Hotel Price Index from Hotels.com online travel agency.

Hotel accommodation costs 10 euros less on the island. On Aruba prices remained virtually unchanged and the neighboring island of Bonaire rooms was more expensive with a hefty 18% increase, or 20 euros per night more. In Sint Maarten prices fell drastically by 14%. In the Maldives, travelers had to pay the most in 2013, with an average price of 444 euros per night.

The indices of Hotels.com show that the hotel prices in more tropical islands have fallen in 2013. There are also islands where the prices went up sharply, with the frontrunner, the Cape Verde Islands off the west coast of Africa, where the prices increased by 25%.
