FCCA Holiday gift project; CPA project to give back to community

IMG_0503WILLEMSTAD - On Sunday, December 10, Curaçao Ports Authority (CPA) was again permitted to organize the so-called 'FCCA Holiday gift project'. Initially, the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) offered all countries that are members of its cruise shipping companies the opportunity to make a maximum of 200 less fortunate children happy with a Christmas present, combined with entertainment and a dinner on board a cruise ship.

This year the children of Cas Cuna were on Berg Altena, Cas Cuna Villa Maria and Casa Manita to board the cruise ship Zuiderdam. In total, about 80 children received a present from Santa and they attended a great magic show and it was rounded off with a delicious dinner on the deck. The other gifts are distributed among children who are currently in various hospitals in Curaçao.

Minister Steven Martina of Economic Development and Tourism was also present to thank the ship for this beautiful gesture, because the crew members saved all year to buy gifts for children in the countries they visit.
