Full Moon & Lighting Parade for locals and tourists
To celebrate World Tourism Day
WILLEMSTAD- To celebrate the World Tourism Day, the Curaçao Tourist Bureau (CTB) will organize a parade titled Full Moon & Lighting Parade. This parade will take place on Saturday, September 26 starting at Sambil and ending at Brion Plaza in Otrabanda.
World Tourism Day is celebrated annually on September 27 and this year the theme is “1 billion tourist, 1 billion of opportunities”. Tourism is the number one economic pillar. More tourist means more development for our country. This is why CTB is organizing this parade for both our locals and the people visiting our island. During the parade it is the intention for the tourist to interact with the locals and to experience part of our culture.
The parade will start at 7pm from Sambil heading to Helmin Wiels Blvd – Veerisweg – Weg naar Westpunt – Schottegatweg West - Weg naar Welgelegen – Rodeweg - Breedestraat (O) and will end at Brionplein. DJ RO-1 and Universal Brass band will provide the musical entertainment during the parade. At the end of the parade there will be entertainment on Brionplein and the celebration will be closed with fireworks at 12 o’clock.
T-shirts for this event are for sale at CTB on Monday to Friday from 8 am till 5 pm. With the T-shirt, participants will also receive all the lighting articles to use during the parade.
