New York Post: “4 reasons to Christmas nonstop in Curaçao”

Pool1442.jpgA nice article about JetBlue’s new service to Curaçao appeared on the website of the popular New York Post.

According to the New York Post if all you want for Christmas is to NEVER EVER EVER have to stop over at Miami International again — on your way down to Curaçao, at least — jolly old JetBlue’s is the lap you need to sit on.

“Kicking off Dec. 2 is the camel-cased airline’s 4-hour-and-change nonstop service from NYC to the Dutchalicious isle, leaving twice weekly, every Tuesday and Saturday. If you’re keeping score at home, that makes for a very Baskin-Robbinical 31 Caribbean flavors JetBlue now has on offer, sporting more nonstops to the region than anybody else.

But MIA-less travel isn’t the only reason to visit Curaçao (it’s just the best one) — the island works its cedilla off to lure us in over the holidays. Didja know December is the only month its bakeries serve up pan de jamón — sweet dough rolls crammed with ham, olives and raisins best paired with ayakas (leftovers), pernil (roast pork) and ponce crema (eggnog)?

Why are we talking about eggnog in August? ‘Cause Christmas in the Caribbean books up quickly and won’t come cheap for long — the sooner, the savvier, the save-ier, ya dig?
