Right Now in Curaçao launched in Canada
WILLEMSTAD, TORONTO - The Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) in cooperation with The Maple Leafs Sports & Entertainment (MLSE) launched the Right Now in Curaçao campaign in Canada during the first in-game activation as the Leafs took on the New York Rangers at the Air Canada Center.
The island's Right Now in Curaçao campaign creative played on digital screens throughout the entire concourse, as well as on an external digital billboard outside the arena.
With over 19,000 in attendance, crowds were loud and thrilled to play in the Curaçao Beach Ball Bonanza which launched during the second period. Curaçao took over all digital elements in the bowl, and a host announced the exciting details: Beach balls branded with the Right Now in Curaçao logos were released into the stands and bounced around the crowds. When the music stopped, the lucky guest holding beach ball #51 was announced and surprised with a 7-night trip to Curaçao through the Curaçao Tourist Board and their partners- Air Canada Vacations and Kunuku Aqua Resort.
Our winner, fan Michael Fisher, had the honor of shaking hands with Curaçao's own Eugene Rhuggenaath, Minister of Economic Development on the island, who was there to hand off the prize, and of course stop for a photo with the team mascot.
The excitement didn't end there. To kick off the third period, the videos panned to suite level to show off the generous Minister and introduce him, and the lovely island of Curaçao to the audience.
The fun doesn't end here. The Curaçao Tourist Board and MLSE have a few more giveaways up their sleeves, which will be executed during games, online, and at the team's dedicated sports bar, Real Sports Bar & Grill over the next month and a half.
