Spain and Curacao favorite for winter
AMSTERDAM - Spain remains the most favorite winter destination for the Dutch people. In the top five list winter sun destinations, the interest in Spain and Curaçao has increased by five percent compared to 2014. Egypt maintains a second position, but fell by six percent. Other decliners are Cape Verde and the Dominican Republic.
With a decrease by eight percent they achieved a fourth and fifth place on the list. This is according to a survey done by Zoovers.
LESS SUNNY FOR EGYPT
The popularity decline in Egypt is mainly due to the unrest in the country and the crash of the Russian plane recently.
The positive advice for Cape Verde and Dominican Republic has not changed since last year. The interest decrease may be related to the increasing interest in more secure and well-known destinations such as Spain and Curaçao. The popularity of these countries can be traced to the climate, the culture, the number of flights from the Netherlands and the cheaper providers.
For the most sunshine Curaçao is the best choice. This island has the highest average temperature, but also the greatest chance of precipitation around this time of year. The least precipitation falls in the Cape Verde Praia.
