Successful presentation of product Curaçao during ITB 2015
WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao can look back to a successful participation at the biggest travel expo in the world, ITB (Internationale Tourismus Börse Berlin). ITB received annually more than 110.000 visitors. This makes it the most important business platform, offering travel deals to destinations all over the world.
Once again the Curaçao representatives have offered the visitors just a touch of what Curaçao has to offer as a tourist destination. On the first day, the representatives of the Curaçao Tourism Board (CTB) and the media had the opportunity to socialize during an exclusive event where they were able to enjoy some local Curaçao drinks and food. CTB also have them an exclusive space to relax in a Caribbean ambience while enjoying some local snacks.
During the event, CTB also gave the media access to the new Media Database, which will be launched on the German market after the ITB. This date base was developed as a useful tool, especially for the media. It has text and images of the island, which they can use to promote the island as a Caribbean destination.
CTB and its partners have also made use of the expo to meet with various companies in the tourism sector. The European market is on the rise and is becoming a very important market for Curaçao. In 2014, Curaçao has received more than 180.000 visitors from Europe.
