Willemstad wants UNESCO Heritage meeting

WillemstadWILLEMSTAD - Willemstad is doing well as a member of the Organization of World Heritage Cities. This is according to the organization in a letter to the Curaçao government.

That's good news, because Curacao wants to bring the biennial meeting of World Heritage Cities 2017 to our island. Curaçao has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1997 for the historic buildings which are in good condition.

There are 250 other cities member, such as Amsterdam, Cartagena and Berlin.
