Groundbreaking ceremony expansion project Curaçao Airport
WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao Airport Partners (CAP) starts off 2016 with the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Curaçao International Airport Terminal Expansion Project. An important partner in this development is the governmental company Curaçao Airport Holding (CAH), which is also investing significantly in the realization of the Terminal Expansion Project.
The Terminal Expansion Project is a crucial component of the Airport Expansion Plan 2015-2018. The ceremony marks the symbolic start of this major project and other construction developments starting in 2016 at the Curaçao International Airport.
CAP realizes the major impact the airport developments will have on the areas where governmental companies offer their services, and also significant; an economic and strategic impact, as CAP will offer an enhanced and improved facility, positioning Curaçao as a more competitive airport in the Caribbean region. For this reason, CAP invited representatives and stakeholders of the Government of Curaçao, the airport community and the business community to partake in this significant symbolic step.

The start date of the construction work for the Terminal Expansion Project is the second Quarter of 2016. The end date is set in the second half of 2018.
