Exhibition TABOO at Landhuis Bloemhof

WILLEMSTAD – Taboos are present in every culture. Landhuis Bloemhof opens tomorrow in this context the exhibition 'TABOO' with the aim to excite the creativity of local artists and to get them out of their comfort zone. To present a wide range of taboos,  Bloemhof has also invited artists from Aruba.

The result is a very different exhibition and expressed in terms of media use. "This time we hope to see another side of the artists to show their fears, their feelings, their desires, their resistances, through their own interpretations and universal taboos", let the organization know Bloemhof.

Discussing Taboos
The organization wants this way to make local, international and private taboos debatable and get people together to discuss various sub-themes within the taboo. "We want to do this through e.g. a movie night or a discussion forum. Soon there will be more details. "During the exhibition, visitors can admire the work of Anna Oltheten, Annemieke Dicke, Ans Mezas Hummelink, Ariadne Faries, Carlos Blaaker, Elisa Lejuez (Aruba), Elvis Lopez (Aruba), Giovani Zanolino, Glenda Heijliger (Aruba), Krista van der Meijden, Marcel Duijneveldt, Martie Genger, Mimi Bind Mountains, Osaira Muyale (Aruba), Philippe Zanolino, Phillip Rademaker, Ria Houwen, Ryan Oduber (Aruba) and Tanya Haynes.
