Avior Airlines inaugurates its flight from Valencia and Maracaibo to Curaçao
WILLEMSTAD- Starting April 17, 2015, the Venezuelan aviation company Avior Airlines will start operating flights twice a week between Valencia and Curaçao and on the same day Maracaibo and Curaçao. Avior has been flying to Curaçao since 2006 with flights from Caracas, Venezuela. This will be an expansion of their current schedule to Curaçao.
During the official ceremonies, Minister Stanley Palm of Economic Development expressed his satisfaction with the new routes. He indicated how important Venezuela is for the economy of the island. Vice President of Commercialization of Avior Airlines, Mr. Gibson Preziuso Urbaneja and CEO of the Curaçao Airport Partners (CAP), Mr. Ralph Blanchard also spoke during the ceremony.

Avior Airlines operates these flights with a Boeing 737-200, which has a capacity of 108 seats. This means a capacity of 432 seats per week. Currently, Curaçao receives about one hundred thousand visitors from Venezuela per year. This market has experienced a 47% increase in the first quarter of 2015.
