Curacao Aviation Association confirms: Hato one of the most expensive airports in the region

WILLEMSTAD – President of the association of Curacao Aviation, Germaine Richie, indicated that now that the world is going through an economic crisis in where every country has to find creative ways to stimulate their economy, unfortunately Curacao’s airport is not only one of the most expensive airports to operate but on top of that US has downgraded it to Category 2 because those responsible did not comply with American aviation regulations.

The airport still does not comply with American regulations but we still promote it as a passenger and cargo center in the Caribbean and a hub between South America, Europe and US.
