The airline is still waiting for permission from the Civil Aviation Department. The company intends to carry out charter flights to islands in the region.
The management of SXM-airways consists almost entirely of former Winair managers. Winair is the airline operating scheduled flights between St. Maarten, Saba and St. Eustatius.
