Jacob Gelt DekkerWhy, why and again why do Jihadist terrorists do what they do, kill innocent people??? Almost every week, a terrorist drives a car into crowds of shoppers and tourists, blows up concerts, trains, airports and if at all possible, entire airplanes, with the war cry

“Allahu Akbar, Allahu-Akbar! Allahu-Akbar! None has the right to be worshipped but Allah.”

- Allahu Akbar is what the terrorists said before flying jetliners into the World Trade Center Towers, the Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania.

- Allahu Akbar is what traitor Nidal Hasan said before American soldiers were slaughtered at Fort Hood.

- Allahu Akbar is what the terrorists’ mother said after the Boston Marathon bombings.

- Allahu Akbar is what was spray-painted on the side of the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi.

- Allahu Akbar is what two attackers in London shouted as they used a machete to butcher a man on a public street.

The big question is, how can any God-fearing man or woman justify, and even applaud, such useless destruction of life and property?

The answer is simple; the terrorists believe that they are only Allah’s instruments to execute His punishment to those who deserve it.

ISIS gave the world a good view of their ethics; music, cigarettes, dancing, wine, sexy dresses, tight jeans, and even melons next to carrots at the greengrocer, were all deadly sins, and they were the executioners in the name of Allah.

Self-mortification of all pleasures can only set the faithful free, therefore answering to wishes and desires is the way of Satan, and has to be weeded out. The Buddhist yogi, Hindu Sadhu, Byzantine Christian hermit, the Franciscan monk, and the Orthodox Jew, all preach the same ascetic lifestyle.

Max Weber wrote in, The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism;

Wealth is thus bad ethically only in so far as it is a temptation to idleness and sinful enjoyment of life.

Islam and especially the Sufi teaches asceticism. Modesty of dress, consumption, and lifestyle are seen as Allah’s wish. The Western world, relishing in abundant consumerism, can only be of the devil. Consumers are guilty of dealing with the devil and have become the devil’s extension. Therefore, it is an act of glory by Allah to kill the evil, kill his devil's henchmen and kill again. The killers are divinely honored for being the chosen ones to carry out the order.
