CBS: ‘Business survey results 2013’

Curacao statisticsWILLEMSTAD - The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) published some of the results of the Business Survey of December 2013.

The Business Survey is a survey where all companies with ten or more employees were visited. A sample was taken by the companies, which have less than ten employees but more than three. Thus, it is a partial sample survey. By taking a sample, an estimate is made of the characteristics of the entire population (all companies) and therefore responsible statements can be made about the population. Certain financial companies, sole traders and small foundations, were not included in the study. Not all companies on the island were approached by CBS.
