CIFA: ‘Curacao in financial slob’

WillemstadWILLEMSTAD - The international financial sector in Curaçao is in the doldrums. There are fewer and fewer activities and revenues for the country Curaçao are on the decrease from this sector. This is according to the Curaçao International Financial Services Association, the CIFA.

The CIFA says that the government should consider better and faster rules or to adjust to make and keep the financial services attractive.

The sector accounts for over 10 percent of the Curaçao economy and is one of the largest sources of foreign currency for the island.
