HBO presents its October movie premieres in the Caribbean

hbo_hdtvMIAMI - HBO brings viewers another month of comedy, horror, romance and adventure with exclusive movie premieres each Saturday at 21:00 hrs.* during the month of October in the Caribbean.

Based on real events from 1971, the supernatural horror film The Conjuring<> (Oct. 4) tells the haunting story of Carolyn and Roger Perron (Lili Taylor and Ron Livingston), a couple who moves to an old farmhouse in Harrisville, Rhode Island, with their five daughters. Strange and inexplicable events begin happening, and as supernatural forces continue manifesting, the family seeks help from paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga), who find themselves in the worst case they’ve worked on as they confront a powerful demonic entity. Directed by James Wan.

Alan (Zach Galifianakis), Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms) and Doug (Justin Bartha) are back once again in The Hangover Part III<> (Oct. 11), directed by Todd Phillips. After Alan’s father dies from a heart attack, Stu, Phil and Doug decide that Alan needs an intervention and convince him to get professional help. But things take a turn for the worse when masked men assault their car on the way to the rehab, taking Doug hostage and threatening to kill him in three days if they don’t locate Leslie Chow (Ken Jeong), who recently escaped prison in Bangkok. This comedy also stars John Goodman, Melissa McCarthy and Heather Graham, among others.

Relive your first love story with The Spectacular Now<> (Oct. 18), based on the book by Tim Tharp. This romantic film depicts Sutter Keely (Miles Teller), a confident and self-possessed high school party boy with no ambitions, whose life changes forever when he unexpectedly meets Aimee Finecky (Shailene Woodley), a simple girl who wears no makeup, reads science fiction on her free time and shows him how to live in the moment. Directed by James Ponsoldt, the film also stars Brie Larson, Kyle Chandler, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

In the animated comedy Planes<> (Oct. 25), Dusty (Dane Cook) is a crop-dusting plane who practices aerobatic maneuvers on his spare time and dreams of being a racer, but unfortunately has a fear of heights. With the support of his friend Chug (Brad Garrett), Dusty gets training from a veteran warplane named Skipper (Stacy Keach) and chases his dream to enter the race. Now he’s on the adventure of a lifetime, daring him to reach heights he never imagined possible. Teri Hatcher, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Priyanka Chopra and Cedric the Entertainer also lend their voices to bring this inspiring film to life. Directed by Klay Hall.
