Musical exhibition and open house ‘Ritmes’

ritme symfonie Nr. 40 MozartWILLEMSTAD – Artist Astrid van Dorp will hold an exhibition this coming Saturday. The exhibition is called "Ritmes" (rhythms) and is based on different music streams. The melodies of salsa, merengue, reggae, Mozart, tumba and house have inspired Van Dorp to translate music into paintings.

Astrid has been working for more than twenty years as an artist and has been living on Curacao for more than ten years. In her painting arts rhythm, dynamics, intonation and colors come together. Her work is exhibited worldwide.

Children’s Workshop

The opening of the exhibition begins with a children's workshop from 10:00 to 12:00. The workshop teaches the children different techniques used in translating rhythm to painter arts. Trombonist Hector Sampson of the band Wesu supports the musical exhibition from 15.30 to 17.00.

Free entrance

Attending the exhibition is free and can be visited in Atelier Art2gether at Kaya Mo Pieternella M12 (exit St. Michael) this Saturday from 10.00 to 17.00. For more information please call 5153141. The children's workshop costs 37.50 guilders.
