The International Jazz Day Global Concert 2014

JazzIn November 2011, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) officially designated April 30 as International Jazz Day in order to highlight jazz and its diplomatic role of uniting people in all corners of the globe.

2014 marks the fourth official celebration of this art form, and Curaçao joins the festivities through the efforts of Jazz Island Promotions Curacao (JIPC). UNESCO nominated JIPC as the official representative and local organizer for the International Jazz Day 2014. Each year, the UNESCO organizes the All-Star Global Concert bringing together acclaimed jazz artists from around the world for a performance spanning styles, cultures, and languages.

We invite all jazz enthusiasts in Curaçao to join us to commemorate the International Jazz Day, by watching the Osaka Concert via Live Webcast, finishing off with a Jam Session with Curaçao’s best jazz Artists. Live web-streaming starts at 11:00AM, but you are welcome from 10:00AM to join us for coffee or brunch. This event will take place at Ole Ole Jazz Cafe.
